Four engineering students at a small college in Illinois enter a design contest sponsored by a large aircraft manufacturer. All they want is a job offer after graduation. However, they soon discover a revolutionary new process that will fundamentally change the way structural components are manufactured.

The students, the college, and the aircraft manufacturer all immediately claim ownership of the patent and a legal fight ensues. Defying the others, one of the students decides to quit the battle and sell out. Now that student is dead.

Steve wants the truth.
