Frequently Asked Questions from new PowerQuotePLUS Users:
A: The file is called "TandC.txt" and is located in your C:\Program Files\PowerQuotePLUS
folder. Open/edit it with Word, WordPad, or NotePad. Just be sure to save it
back out as a .TXT file (i.e. not a Word document (.doc)). A: With Acrobat Reader displaying the form, click FILE | SAVE A COPY, name it
something you will remember, then save it to a familiar location such as My
Documents. Then send your customer an e-mail, and attach that file to it. A: No, only you need it. They may view your forms with any version. A: "PQ" and you may change it to another password by clicking on the Password
tab. A: First, be sure it is a Windows Bitmap file (.bmp). JPegs (.jpg) don't
work. If you have it in .jpg, just FILE | SAVE AS and in the TYPE OF FILE,
select .BMP. Save it to your C:\Program Files\PowerQuotePLUS folder, then select
it by opening the Aircraft window, click ALLOW EDITING, enter your password,
then click the picture box above ALLOW EDITING and select it. If you have a
regular photo, you may either scan it yourself, or mail the photo(s) to me and
I'll scan them for you. A: Sure. Just download/open this file, then click the UNZIP button:
http://www.tomsyl.com/software/pqplusac.exe. Select a picture from within
the Aircraft Window by clicking on the box above the Allow Editing button. A: I don't automatically include it with the demo download to save download
time, but you can download/unzip this:
http://www.tomsyl.com/software/pqplusmn.exe. After unzipping it, it will show up in
PowerQuotePLUS under HELP | INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
A: First, be sure that you install the demo on the new computer in the same folder where you installed the program on the old computer (probably C:\Program Files\PowerQuotePLUS). Then, e-mail the following files to the new computer, replacing any files that are there: PWRQUOTE.MDB DEFAULTS.MDB COMPANY.KEY <YourCompanyLogo>.BMP <AircraftPicturesYouAreUsing>.BMP Alternatively, you may burn these files onto a CD-ROM in order to transfer them. However, when you copy them from the CD-ROM to the new computer, they will be "read-only" after placed into the new computer. So you'll have to open the properties of each file (RIGHT-click on the file name using Windows Explorer, then select PROPERTIES), and de-select the checkmark on "Read-Only."
