Keep track of your music practice times with Practice Sessions©
This software allows you to record and track the amount of time you have spent practicing your instrument, then generate a report that you may submit to your music teacher or band director. It creates the report as an Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) document, that you may e-mail as an attached file to your teacher, or print it out and take it with you.
When the program starts, click on a date to bring up the practice events for that date.
Click the ADD NEW button and a new entry will be created. If you wish to edit an entry, highlight it in the list then edit the information on the right side of the vertical blue line and click UPDATE. To delete an entry, highlight it in the list, then click the DELETE HIGHLIGHTED button. If you want to time your practice, click the timer button and it will begin timing your practice session:
When you have finished practicing, click the STOP button and the time will be rounded to the nearest minute and placed in the Practice Minutes text box for that session. To prepare a report, click the REPORTS menu item. This window will appear:
Select the beginning date for your report, and how many days from that date forward you would like to report, then click OK. It will then ask you where you would like to save this file (PracticeReport.pdf):
When you click SAVE, it will start Acrobat Reader and display the report.
From here, either print it or e-mail it as an attachment. You may set up some default information by clicking the DEFAULTS menu item on the main window. The following window will appear:
